Would you believe it? I used to have rockstar dreams :’)

I grew up being a huge fan of 80’s rock, hard rock, and heavy metal. Think Guns N’ Roses, Mötley Crüe, Black Sabbath and Dio. These days I listen to almost anything; if I like it, I’ll listen to it.

Bassist

I picked up the bass when I was 15, but it was not until I was 21 that I started performing professionally. I was in a few rock/pop cover bands and played regular gigs in established pubs around Singapore, such as Hard Rock Cafe, Wala Wala, etc. I stopped performing after about a year to focus on my mathematics degree.

What can I say, mathematics was really hard. Everything has a price.

Assistant Audio Engineer

At 20, after my audio tech diploma, I worked at a recording and jamming studio for about a year. I did some multitrack and live recordings for musicians, as well as editing and mixing. I also did voiceover recordings, editing, and post-production for corporate clients (think stuff like airline safety instructions, or advertisements).
